and missing Taiwan lots. Yearning to fly there this very minute and with the jetstar's current promo.. it makes me wanting for Taiwan even more. So jealous that Xiaoyun is going there soon.

I told Jimmy, that one of my wishes is to go Taiwan alone but he doesn't allow. That is so sad isn't it! I must fulfil this wish, with or without his permission.
It should be cooling there now, it's fall. I haven't been there in fall yet, only late winter and early summer. I believe it'd be so pretty. I'd definitely go Yangmingshan in a spring or autumn, to see the flowers. And go to the hotspring too! I'm not sure if the yearn to go is due to me not wanting to stay in Singapore, or I really love Taiwan so much.

Anyway, Taiwan has so much so explore and it's not very difficult to navigate. Communication is not a problem since I can speak mandarin. People there are real friendly and the food, shopping is fantastic and really economical. It even feels like home. Miss the beautiful scenery up at Jiufen, we had our own little house when we went this year May!

it sure feels like home

really missing the place! given the chance, i'd definitely stay at jiufen again. it's so full of culture, and different from the city. having a chance to stay amongst the locals there, is an experience of a lifetime. i only pray that jiufen don't become too overly commercialised and cause the place to lose its unique flavor.
